I Know You Will

Poem

I know you will
love me like I would,
and teach me, show me
all the things I could:

to smile, sing and even fly,
things so easy yet so hard,
things I’ve lost for years.
Do I remember all the tears?

Be a doctor,
give me hope,
give meaning to my soul,
show me light,
break my heart…
and heal it once again.

You will. I know you will.
