Happiness – Part One
Poem
The years in my life resided
Time was still, but took me quickly
Strived to enjoy what was fertilized.
Showing signs of a brisk wick.
I see little remains to glare
facing my time to reinvent
It’s more than simple pleasure
I hear it’s worth riches with little spent
Finding this pot of wealth is the endeavor
I’m looking for Happiness,
Even if it Happens to be strange
Strange how it changes
Changes All things.
I’m looking for it, even if,
When happiness Happens
It has a way of covering reality
Realities seem to look good
For goodness aspires
Inspiring to mirror love.
I’ve seen these things in my time
Only to see it all fade in time
The pain faded slowly leaving a weaker spine
Bent over with decaying bones left in a decline
Declining in my time as I slide away
Away I go, far away in my distant hideaway.
I was loved by more than a few in a past
Passing all I could onto those behind me was such blast
What was life to be without the many friends
Such the life, they were to me on my journey of amends.
It was too late for me, now that happiness I sort
Sort me first, brought me to my resting place in kind
As things were strange to me life has now changed
Things now peacefully in place where happiness lives
I see no need to seek that place of happiness here
For this is where I’m covered in a new reality
Now, stand there try seeing me through your mirror
Yet, you see it’s blackened on my side
You see only what you reflect in me.
My happiness has been found
Finding those above looking for me here.
