Allons!
Spiritual Poem
“How long will you linger?
How much time will you commit?
When reasoning is over,
When rationality says, ‘quit’.”
I query to the mirror,
My reply in a wry squint,
“Could you REALLY leave the fervor?
Straighten now the road you’ve bent?”
A tear that forms says, “Oui.”
I put a hand against my chest,
For I’m powerless as me,
Without Him who loves me best.
I will try again right now,
Why put off until tomorrow,
Renewing an age-old vow,
Casting off a life of sorrow?
So, walking not away,
But moving towards the light,
I let His will hold sway,
And I bid this dream- Goodnight.
