Basic Humanity
Poem
I looked up at the night sky to see a million stars,
they all shone side by side. Some dull. Others bright.
I looked down at the earth below.
It looked like a big fat mess.
Differentiating each other with a diverse lens.
We wish to live in peace
and yet again we collide.
Looking beyond the horizons of our narrow narrow minds.
Stop the body shaming
Stop the religious extremism
We are all basically humans searching for our own sweet light.
Shine like the stars above
Strive like the mountains’ height.
Swim in the ocean of a tolerant mankind.
Look at the bigger picture.
These petty things don’t suffice.
Love one another.
Only love is our might.
