Break Up Poems

Why don’t you leave?
My thoughts, my home?
Desert, run and flee-
my heart an icy stone.

Turn my memories into ashes.
Burn them and make me forget!
Your eyes, hair, hands and lashes.
Your whispers, the words you said.

Bring the winter, whirlwinds of fire
inside my shelter, destroy each desire
I have ever had and every dream
of never-ending summer I’ve seen.

I hate you and I love you every day,
minute, season and I just want to say
“Leave my crystal palace and let me die”
when the sun is dead and my tears dry.
