Firm Grasp
Poem
A flight on the back of a kite
Bruise the ego only when no one looks
From on the other side maybe the French
Way of settling discord
Married unwittingly alongside
The dry sherry
When you really wanted a white
A pale-skinned outcropping of worry
Comes into the room, nods
Leaves
Comes back
Finally excuses the choppy
Behavior but continues all the same
On to outset, sunset on the porch
Away from it all seems to admonish
Don’t go on taking the back roads
This intrusion seems to say
Tomorrow the front door
