Go Away, Spirit of Tonight
Spiritual Poem
Go away,
Spirit of Tonight,
spare me your wisdom,
your deep and clear sight.
You’re always right,
even when you smile
you’re here to decide
what my fate will look like.
You’re always ready
to scold the stupid boy.
Pointing fingers at me
like I’m a plastic toy.
Hey, listen!
I don’t hate you
but I don’t love you either.
Don’t expect me to be grateful
and embrace you like a father.
Go away,
Spirit of Tonight,
find someone else’s life!
