On Safety
Somehow after diving in and swimming to the center
Held there in suspense of everything
I never felt freer than when my feet couldn’t touch the Earth and
Suddenly the air in my lungs was enough to support me in the midst
Of all the troubles surrounding me
Now only the blue and calm remained
Perhaps if we stayed here in the
Protection of the surrounding waters
We’d stop having to drown on dry land
