Love Poem

Once upon a night
(in a dreamy place they met)

As I lay at your side,
Caressed by your exhale
Your sounds echoing
o’er the silence

Your arms holding
with every breathe
Stretched, to rest your head
on my chest…

The even sounds
so silent
yet, its music I hear

Dreams began to animate
Angel-like eyes
Seeing peace not far

There, transpiring
about this dream
Developing into
an all too memorable
place visited.

What I see with closed eyes
dazzles me, visualizing two
in a waltz under a waterfall
Reaching out stroking her
without a brawl

She too, reaching
for his exchange
Their fingertips
virtually touching

As the breeze blows
suddenly, she is gone.

Taken away by the glare
of the sun,
As he tries taking cover
Wanting to get back
to her hold,
With no avail
We hide in dreams
The emotions that we fear…
