Running In The Dark
Poem
There are no stars tonight
To hang above our thoughts
Clouded are our passages
Like the light of the moon
Am I running away or toward
Dangers of an unchosen life
I can choose either pole
Unseen all the way through
Man has given me shackles
He has controlled my desires
Has chosen to imprison dreams
Has broken through to my bones
But sometimes I float up high
Follow the path of the sun’s rays
Some things can be worth it all
I’m running in the dark towards light
