Fifth Day: August 22, 2013

Clouds fill the sky above Mansfield and Sterling. Sporadic rain falls. Mira and I enjoy an afternoon in. The sun soon breaks through. We eat her homemade salad and drink her latest creation: red wine mimosas.

Frankie races through the new obstacle course at the Fun Zone — his first visit of the season.

Goodtime Charlie, the Friendly Pirate, Billy Bob Bear and Mogal Mouse arrive for the kids dance party. It’s part of the indoor festivities that Smuggs hosts when the Vermont Country Fair is rained out.
