On For Tonight

Lilac shaded blue tops
Tearing at the seams
Muscling through tough times
makes any number of – oh, wait
any number picked while stress
lingers cross-wise ’round your thigh
just say it does and I’ll whisper to make sure
it can’t be a lie ’cause then we’d be in it
we’d be in it
further than ever before from rumblings
that shout “it’s over”
thighs never uncross when they want to tell the truth
let’s…ignore them, shall we?
turn off that light, be followed home
to where we wait

Jazz-soaked spirit running circles around despair...or something like that. Really. Lover of words, lover of being in worlds free...just...free. New Yorker, artist, Virgo besieged by airhead tendencies akin to Libra moves. Bronx is home base. Began an obsession with writing at seven and twenty-odd years hence, still at it. Enjoy/love/hate/be bored/appreciate to your heart's content. Or something like that.
