Use Your Mind
Poem
above ground
always accepted and
always admired
you shared your thoughts with me
while I looked in the distance
half listening
there was something in the air
that day
a light along the city
sweet confusion
red curtains
I couldn’t look at you
without thinking:
There you go again
yes, I’m naive, eternally,
but not stupid,
you can’t fool me foreverlly
ugliest little fairies were falling
across black battalions and
down another tunnel
screaming out of happiness
they didn’t know what was asked of them
they believed in you
protector
friend
savior
the distance was not so far anymore
my time was up
deep breath
you will see me jump
but you will not see me fall
wings exist for a reason
use your mind
